Our mission is to bring high quality public education to the most underserved students in the flatlands of Oakland, traditionally the most low income areas of the city.

Our schools serve the children who are most dependent on the public school system to serve them well. Over ninety percent of the students at our schools are from low income families, with virtually all students qualifying for free or reduced price meals.

EFC schools also serve large populations of students that are designated as English Language Learners. Please see the charts below for important statistics about our schools and the students we serve.
