Today, we’re a network of six free, public charter schools committed to unlocking each student’s potential through rigorous academics, strong relationships, and deep community roots.

EFC began because families in Oakland imagined more for their children — and acted on it. They wanted schools where high expectations meet real care, where students grow faster, dream bigger, and feel like they belong. That vision became our mission: to deliver the kind of education every child deserves, no matter their zip code, income level, or background.
