Teacher Residency

One-year of immersive hands-on practice in the classroom with educational theory and research in both seminars and online.

This is a great option for prospective educators looking for an appreticeship model with a highly skilled mentor teacher in a mission-aligned school community.

We offer a $47,500 stipend to help offset the cost of tuition. Scholarships and financial aid are available.

Intern Teacher

Flexible, two-year, hybrid pathway that allows aspiring educators to earn a credential while working full-time as a teacher in their own classroom.

Interns receive coaching, practical experience, and targeted professional development to build strong teaching skills and lay the foundation for a successful career in education. They also earn a full time teacher's salary.

This program is recommended for educators with at least 1 year of teaching experience.

Career Technical Education Credential

Teach a Career Technical Education (CTE) course at our unique high school, Latitude 37.8. CTE provides practical, career-focused courses that prepare students for high-demand, real-world jobs.

This option is perfect for educators with industry experience and knowledge. They bring their expertise into the classroom, and support students in gaining job-ready skills, certifications, and pathways to college and careers.

Highlight Intern Program: ACOE Path Program

 
 

Affordable 2-year intern program in a hybrid setting. The cost per year is $500. Candidates work as the teacher of record, while engaging in graduate-level coursework, one-on-one coaching, and on-site mentorship to become credentialed. This program is in partnership with Reach University, Santa Clara County Office of Education, and San Diego County Office of Education.

Available Credentials:

  • Multiple Subjects
  • Single Subject: Art, Business, English, Health Science, Foundational-Level Mathematics, Mathematics , Music, Physical Education, Science (Biological Science, Chemistry, Foundational-Level Science, and Physics), Social Science
  • Education Specialist
  • PK-3
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing teaching

Path program also offers free CSET preparation program sessions through a Precredential Program. This is available for prospective teachers who have not yet met the subject matter competency,
