Summer Programming

Education For Change Public Schools’ Summer Program is designed to support students and families during summer and school-break weeks, when families often need safe, enriching, and engaging full-day options for their children.

Our summer program runs for five weeks, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing reliable, full-day care while school is not in session. Each summer, we serve approximately 390 students in grades TK–8 across multiple school sites. Some sites operate independently, while others are combined, allowing us to serve as many families as possible based on space and enrollment needs.

Each day is thoughtfully designed to balance learning, fun, and exploration.

• Mornings focus on reading and math, using familiar curricula such as Fishtank ELA, Eureka Math, and i-Ready to help students stay confident and prepared for the next school year.
• Afternoons are all about hands-on enrichment, including STEAM activities, creative projects, outdoor play, and physical activity that reflect student interests and community voice.

Students also enjoy weekly field trips, daily movement, and rotating enrichment activities that support social-emotional growth, teamwork, and joy. These experiences help keep students engaged, active, and excited to come to camp each day.

At the end of the summer, each site hosts a family showcase, where students share projects, performances, and learning highlights with their families. These celebrations are a special opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate student growth together.

Our program is staffed by experienced site coordinators, academic and enrichment coaches, and trained high school interns, all working together to ensure students are safe, supported, and cared for throughout the day. Staff are hired and trained in advance to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for students and families.

Through this summer program, EFC is proud to provide families with safe, joyful, and enriching full-day programming that supports learning, creativity, and connection all summer long.

Spring Break Camp

Sites: ASCEND, Achieve, Cox, and LWL, April 6-10, 2026

Spring Break Camp at Education For Change Public Schools is a fun, safe, and engaging five-day program designed to support students and families while school is on break. Camp provides full-day care for working families and meaningful learning experiences that keep students active, curious, and connected.

Students in TK–8th grade will participate in GalileoX programming, which blends reading, math, science, creativity, and teamwork into hands-on projects and games. Learning feels fun and interactive, helping students stay sharp while also enjoying their break.

Camp also includes exciting field trips with Forest & Tree, where students explore the outdoors, learn about nature, and build confidence through movement and discovery. These experiences support physical activity, social-emotional growth, and a deeper connection to the environment.

Each day includes a mix of learning, enrichment, physical activity, and play, giving students a well-balanced experience. Camp wraps up with opportunities for students to share what they learned through projects or activities, helping families see and celebrate their child’s growth.

Spring Break Camp is staffed by trained, caring adults who ensure students are safe, supported, and having a great time all week long.
