Charter schools are public schools — free, open to all, and funded by the state. What makes them different is how they operate: charter schools have more flexibility in how they design their curriculum and support systems, but they are held to higher standards of accountability for student achievement and school outcomes.
At EFC, that flexibility allows us to center the needs of our students — especially those who have been underserved by traditional systems. We offer innovative teaching, inclusive classrooms, and community-driven leadership — all while being accountable to our authorizers, our families, and most of all, our students.
